snowdrops
Dear Yogis,
Wishing us all trust that nature will re-balance and re-new no matter how much we may be feeling low with the state of the world at present. Mix with like minded friends and make new contacts to defend and stand up for those weaker than ourselves. We can then become stronger together.
It is only ignorance that causes conflict and much as we may wish for Peace we have a duty to speak up for truth. We have all seen what happens "when good people do nothing".
Be a Light in the world.

Finding meaning in 2017
Dear Yogis
Wishing you all a purpose and meaning in 2017 which will bring you a sense of contentment with what is alloted to us all in this short material life. Stand up to those who through ignorance cannot see past their own selfish needs and wants and let us guard what is left of our precious nature .
Thanks again to all who supported us in saving The River Crane corridor from a new build and let us keep vigilant to any new attempts to domesticate this wild space which is so necessary for the flora and fauna to replenish the whole environment of this unique space in our crowded urban landscape.
Here is a female sparrow hawk who visits the Field and enjoys with us the wonderful trees and dark corridor where our bats feed and live and the giant Ash trees sway in the breeze and enrich our lives with their beauty.

To Find the Happiness of a resting place
Our life is a series of demands for comfort, for security, for position, for fulfilment, for happiness, for recognition, and we also have rare moments of wanting to find out what is truth, what is God. So God or truth becomes synonymous with our satisfaction. We want to be gratified; therefore truth becomes the end of all search. of all struggle, and God becomes the ultimate resting place. We move from one pattern to another, from one cage to another, from one philosophy or society to another, hoping to find happiness, not only happiness in relationship with people, but also the happiness of a resting place where the mind will never be disturbed, where the mind will cease to be tortured by its own discontent. We may put it in different words, we may use different philosophical jargons, but that is what we all want - a place where the mind can rest, where the mind is not tortured by its own activities, where there is no sorrow. Krishnamurti, The Collected Works vol V111, p.328 The above wise words from 'K' resonated with me as the manic build up to the season of 'Peace and Goodwill' continues to ring hollow for so many in our chaotic world. If you are seeking to find the happiness of a resting place you may like to join our yogic circle in meditating on the wish for a Place to rest for all of us in the world today. The only journey worth taking is the journey within.... .the only real resting place is our true self. Om shanti shanti shanti Peace Peace Peace |

Winter Preparations
Dear Yogis,
So much happening and happened this year which has tested our resolve to be true to ourselves.
Not always easy to stand up for your beliefs but amazing how much support comes to your aide when you do! Thanks to so many old and new friends who have supported us this year and in particular the EcoWarriors defending mother nature from yet more buildings and "Carbon Infestations" (Star Trek followers will know this reference!)
Here are some photos of beautiful nature in our still lovely planet Earth.
